Rendezvous 2026 Performer Open Calls
Bring your artistry to the Wyoming woods.
Rendezvous is bringing live performance into the wild, and we are excited to invite Wyoming artists to help shape this year’s celebration in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
For 2026, the Rendezvous Planning Committee is opening two performer applications:
Drag Performer Open Call — for drag performers interested in Drag Bingo, the Mx. Rendezvous Pageant, and Music Fest Spotlight Sets
Music Fest Open Call — for musicians, bands, singer-songwriters, and genre-blending performers interested in joining the Rendezvous Music Fest lineup
We are looking for Wyoming-based artists who are excited to bring creativity, community, camp, and connection to an outdoor LGBTQ+ campout experience.
Whether you are ready to serve drag in the woods, take the stage with your band, perform between music sets, compete for the first-ever Mx. Rendezvous title, or help create a full Music Fest atmosphere under the Wyoming sky, we want to hear from you.

Drag Performer Open Call
Take your drag off the main stage and into the wild.
Rendezvous is a 5-day LGBTQ+ campout hosted by Wyoming Equality in the Medicine Bow National Forest, tucked between Laramie and Cheyenne.
This year, the Rendezvous Planning Committee is seeking a dynamic and diverse lineup of Wyoming drag performers for three unforgettable opportunities during Rendezvous 2026:
Drag Bingo
The first-ever Mx. Rendezvous Pageant
Music Fest Spotlight Sets
Whether your drag is campy, glamorous, spooky, political, comedic, experimental, rustic, refined, or fully backcountry fabulous, we want to see what you bring to the woods.
Queens, kings, things, monsters, creatures, clowns, burlesque artists, pageant performers, alternative drag artists, first-time performers, seasoned entertainers, and everyone beyond the binary are encouraged to apply.
Drag Opportunities
Balls, Calls & Curtain Calls: Drag Bingo
Date: Friday, August 7, 2026
Time: Noon–3:00 PM
Step into the spotlight between rounds of Bingo with performances that add flair, personality, and a little unexpected magic to one of Rendezvous’ favorite community events.
These performances should be fun, engaging, and welcoming for a daytime crowd.
Camp Crown Showdown: The Mx. Rendezvous Pageant
Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026
Time: Noon–2:00 PM
Compete for the title of the first-ever Mx. Rendezvous by serving camp, charisma, creativity, stage presence, and your best drag in the wild.
This pageant is a celebration of drag in all its forms, with room for bold interpretation, playful themes, and big personality.
More details about pageant structure, categories, and expectations will be shared with selected participants.
Stage Struts & Sound Checks: Music Fest Spotlight Sets
Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026
Time: Approximately 5:00–10:00 PM
Perform between band sets during the Rendezvous Music Fest and help keep the crowd energized throughout the evening.
These performances should be high-impact, stage-ready, and able to flow naturally between live music sets.
Drag performers may also be considered for light hosting, crowd engagement, announcements, or fundraising moments during the Music Fest, depending on interest and event needs.
Who Should Apply
Performers must be 18 years or older.
We are especially excited to highlight Wyoming performers and broaden participation across the state. A broad array of drag styles, experience levels, identities, and performance backgrounds are welcome and encouraged.
Selected performers must be able to:
Submit performance tracks in advance
Communicate clearly with event organizers
Follow venue, event, and performer policies
Sign any required performer agreements
Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and community-centered environment
Acts should celebrate community, connection, creativity, and camp — with maybe a little biodegradable sparkle.

Music Fest Open Call
Bring your sound to the Wyoming woods.
Rendezvous is a 5-day LGBTQ+ campout hosted by Wyoming Equality in the Medicine Bow National Forest, tucked between Laramie and Cheyenne.
This year, the Rendezvous Planning Committee is excited to introduce a Music Fest-style evening featuring Wyoming musicians, bands, drag performers, community energy, and a full outdoor celebration under the sky.
We are seeking musicians and bands interested in performing at the Rendezvous Music Fest on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Our vision is a Wyoming-style afternoon and evening music festival rooted in queer community, live performance, camp culture, and connection. Think Pride in the Park meets forest gathering: local music, drag between sets, community announcements, dancing, joy, and plenty of room for people to gather, celebrate, and unwind.
