Stand for LGBTQ Rights on Equality Day Feb 13

Stand for Love. Stand for LGBTQ+ Rights.
February 13, 2026 • Wyoming State Capitol • Cheyenne

On February 13, LGBTQ+ Wyomingites and allies from across the state will gather at the Capitol for Equality Day — a statewide day of visibility, advocacy, and community.

Equality Day is our chance to show up together and remind lawmakers that real people, families, and communities are behind the policies they consider. When we show up, we change what’s possible.

Why February 13?

February 13 is the closest day to Valentine’s Day when Wyoming lawmakers are in session. We’re showing up to remind our representatives what loving Wyoming — and loving our neighbors — truly means.

Why Equality Day Matters

In recent years, some lawmakers have relied on harmful, divisive attacks — particularly against trans Wyomingites — to score political points. These attacks have real consequences for our neighbors, families, and communities.

Equality Day is how we respond.

By filling the Capitol with our presence, we remind lawmakers that:

  • LGBTQ+ people live in every corner of Wyoming

  • Our families, friends, and neighbors deserve dignity and safety

  • Policies impact real people — not talking points

Without community showing up, this work doesn’t move forward. Our goal is to bring at least 250 people to the Capitol. We can’t get there without you.

What the Day Includes

  • Morning (9:30 AM - 12:00 PM) and afternoon (3:00 - 4:00 PM) legislative visits

  • A community rally at noon on the Capitol steps

  • Shared meals and time to connect across communities

  • Optional Citizen Lobbyist Training the evening before
    (Registration required: https://bit.ly/EqDayTraining)

You are welcome to attend for the full day or for any portion
that works for you.

We know showing up can come with real obstacles. We’ve planned ahead to help remove some of them.

Two Other Ways To Help Us Increase Our Impact This Equality Day

1. Raise Awareness: Host a Valentine’s Day Party before the event. We’ll send you a kit. You’ll get people to sign up to join us on February 12 and write Valentine’s Day cards that we’ll give our lawmakers on Equality Day asking that they lead with love for their Wyoming neighbors.

I'll Host an Equality Day Valentine's Party to Raise Awareness

2. Donate to make the event possible: We’re removing barriers to participation. That costs money. Money for gas, food, and helping others stand with us on Equality Day. Will you donate to make it possible for others to come make our voices louder?
