Stand for LGBTQ Rights on Equality Day Feb 13

On February 13th, We’re Standing for
the Rights of LGBTQ Wyomingites.

Why Feb. 13th?

It’s the closest date to Valentine's Day that our lawmakers are meeting to govern us. We want to remind our representatives, our lawmakers, what loving Wyoming and its people really means.

Why this effort?

Many current lawmakers have found that cheap political attacks on our trans neighbors have brought them success. They have the majority. This has made it harder for us to protect your rights.

BUT, we can force them to look at the faces of the people they harm, all of us Wyoming people who love our neighbors can show up and tell them…

“Do not harm those we love–our neighbors, our families, your constituents.”

Without you, it doesn’t work.

We need 250 people to make a big impact. We don’t get there without you.

Make Our Opposition Visible & Undeniable

We know there are obstacles to showing up. We’ve thought of ways to help.

Coming to Cheyenne from out of town?

  • We can offer you a block rate of $X a night at the Red Lion for the nights of the 12th & 13th.

Not in your budget? We understand.

  • We can put you up at a church.

    • This is how churches and civil rights activists made it work in the ‘60s. We’re carrying on that tradition.

  • We can pay for your gas.

  • We can feed you.

    • We’ll provide a potluck dinner the evening of the 12th.

    • Grab & Go breakfast the morning of the 13th.

    • Lunch provided at the Capitol on the 13th.

Two Ways To Help Us Increase Our Impact This Equality Day

1. Raise Awareness: Host a Valentine’s Day Party before the event. We’ll send you a kit. You’ll get people to sign up to join us Feb. 13th. You’ll write Valentine’s Day cards that we’ll give our lawmakers on Equality Day asking that they lead with love for their Wyoming neighbors.

I'll Host an Equality Day Valentine's Party to Raise Awareness

2. Donate to make the event possible: We’re removing barriers to participation. That costs money. Money for gas, food, and helping others stand with us on Equality Day. Will you donate to make it possible for others to come make our voices louder?
