LCCC World AIDS Day
Appreciation Letter
Joe Corrigan February 22, 2007 Dear Joe, On behalf of Laramie County Community College Office of Health Education, I would like to thank the generosity of Wyoming Equality in its efforts to collaborate with our World AIDS Day programming for campus and the Cheyenne community. Your generous donation of $600.00 for this last year’s (Dec. 2006) week long events regarding STD/HIV prevention, and culminating with World AIDS Day helped to provide education, outreach, and activities centered around HIV prevention. This year we were able to include a panel of HIV positive persons who addressed the campus in a very real, touching, and informative manner. This would not have been possible without your assistance. Our programming efforts regarding World AIDS Day would not have been as successful or as effective without the support of Wyoming Equality. Not only did you donate a substantial amount of money towards our programming, but you also provided staff and information regarding your agency during our information sessions. Your staff volunteered at various events, and was extremely helpful and motivated to be part of prevention education and outreach. It is my hope that we will continue to collaborate for World AIDS Day in whatever manner Wyoming Equality sees possible. It is vital for this connection to continue in order to provide support for those students/faculty/staff that are affected by this terrible disease. Thank you again for your generosity. Wyoming Equality provides services and outreach to many in need, and we are fortunate to collaborate with your agency. Sincerely, Amy Perea
